Generate Ad Variants
Create a set of testable ad copy variants to identify top-performing messaging for your campaign.
Inputs
- Product/Service — What you're advertising; its core differentiation. Example: "AI-powered scheduling platform"
- Target Audience — Who should respond; their role, industry, pain point. Example: "People managers at mid-market tech companies"
- Campaign Goal — Desired user action: signup, demo request, purchase, trial. Default: qualified lead capture
- Value Propositions — 2-3 key benefits specific to your audience; save time, reduce cost, increase quality
- Brand Voice — Tone and style: formal, conversational, urgent, playful. Default: professional and approachable
- Ad Format — Channel and length: email subject, social headline, long-form body, CTA-focused. Default: headline + short body
Steps
- Document the single biggest pain point your target audience faces related to your product category.
- Identify 2-3 value propositions that directly address that pain and measurably improve their situation.
- Draft 3 distinct copy angles: problem-awareness angle, benefit-focused angle, social-proof angle.
- Write 2 ad variants for each angle (6 variants minimum), each with a different hook or framing.
- Include a clear, specific call-to-action on every variant aligned to your campaign goal.
- Audit all variants for accuracy, compliance, and consistency with your brand voice and positioning.
- Tag each variant by angle and prepare priority ranking for A/B testing rollout.
Constraints
- Keep headlines under 12 words; body copy under 60 words.
- Make no claims you cannot substantiate; verify all quantitative assertions.
- Test one primary variable (angle) per audience segment to isolate winning messaging.
Done when: You have 6 distinct ad copy variants organized by angle, each with a measurable call-to-action, and ready for split testing.
