Prep QBR

Create a structured QBR (Quarterly Business Review) outline with key metrics and discussion points for a named account.

Inputs

  • Customer Name — Account identifier, full legal name.
  • Review Period — Date range (e.g., Jan–Mar 2026); defaults to last calendar quarter.
  • Key Metrics — 2–4 primary success criteria (e.g., feature adoption %, revenue growth, engagement score).
  • Audience — QBR attendees by role (exec sponsor, CSM, product, engineering).
  • Prior QBR Notes — Link to or summary of previous QBR commitments; defaults to none.
  • Format Preference — Slide deck, one-pager, or discussion brief; defaults to slide deck.

Steps

  1. Pull account metrics and usage data for {Review Period}.
  2. Compare performance against {Key Metrics} baseline and industry benchmarks.
  3. Compile wins, challenges, and product feedback from {Customer Name} interactions.
  4. Map open items and commitments from {Prior QBR Notes}.
  5. Draft QBR outline with intro, metrics, strategic topics, and next steps.
  6. Prepare executive summary and 3–5 talking points per section.
  7. Share outline with internal team for feedback 48 hours before scheduled review.

Constraints

  • QBR prep must complete 3 calendar days before meeting date.
  • Focus on business outcomes, not technical implementation details.
  • Avoid surprises—validate all metrics with primary contact before the meeting.

Done when: {Customer Name} QBR outline with metrics, wins and challenges, and talking points is ready for internal review.
