Command: morning-brief

Assemble your executive priorities and blockers for the day before 9 AM.

Inputs

Calendar {today} — your exec calendar file or URL (default: primary calendar)
Project board {workspace} — active project tracker or dashboard (default: OKR board)
Blockers doc {url-or-id} — shared open-issue log or risk register (default: company watch-items)
Channel preference {slack|email|teams} — where to send the brief (default: Slack)
Stakeholder list {team-names} — whose urgent items to flag (default: direct reports + peers)

Steps

  1. Fetch your full calendar and flag all meetings before noon; pull any late-cancel or conflict alerts.
  2. Scan the project board and pull tasks marked urgent or blocked, with owner and last-update timestamp.
  3. Read the blockers doc and extract any items tagged for you or your team with aging status.
  4. Compile three sections: (a) calendar conflicts or back-to-back windows, (b) five priority tasks for today, (c) three watch-items requiring decisions.
  5. Draft a one-page brief with objective summary and recommended next action per blocker.
  6. Send to your chosen channel with a human-confirmation step before shipping to stakeholders.

Constraints

  • Do not auto-create calendar events; propose only and wait for approval.
  • Flag but do not execute any travel rebooks or payment actions — research and propose only.
  • If the project board or blockers doc is unavailable, skip that section and note the gap in the brief.

Done when: your morning brief appears in {channel} by 9 AM with today's three top priorities and all open blockers listed.
