Draft & Queue Posts

Write and schedule platform-tailored social media posts to reach your audience on time.

Inputs

  • Content topic — subject matter or campaign focus (e.g., product launch, company milestone, thought leadership article)
  • Target platforms — where to post (e.g., Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram); required fields vary by platform
  • Publishing schedule — when to publish (immediate, specific date/time, recurring). Default: queue for manual approval
  • Tone and voice — brand voice guidelines (e.g., professional, casual, technical, humorous)
  • Links and media — optional URLs, images, or videos to attach; specify per-platform (some require specific dimensions)

Steps

  1. Gather your content brief — topic, key message, and any reference materials or guidelines.
  2. Draft platform-specific versions: shorter posts for Twitter/X, longer for LinkedIn, visual-focused for Instagram.
  3. Customize for platform norms: use hashtags on Twitter/Instagram, mention @names on LinkedIn, call-to-action on Facebook.
  4. Review drafts for tone, accuracy, and brand alignment; edit as needed.
  5. Add media attachments and verify formatting (links render, images display correctly).
  6. Set publishing date and time for each platform, or queue all posts for immediate review.
  7. Publish or submit to approval queue; track engagement after publishing.

Constraints

  • Adhere to platform character limits and format requirements (e.g., Twitter's 280-character cap).
  • Avoid cross-posting identical text; tailor each version to platform audience and best practices.
  • Do not send promotional posts without checking brand guidelines and compliance rules (e.g., no unsolicited offers, no misleading claims).

Done when: All drafts are tailored per platform, scheduled or queued, and ready for publication.
